Accessibility

This page states the accessibility status of this site against WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

Conformance status

This site is partially conformant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.

Partial conformance means that most of the standard is met and that the known exceptions are listed below. The assessment is a self-evaluation carried out by the publisher and has not been audited by a third party.

This statement was last reviewed on 20 September 2026. It will be updated when testing changes the conformance status.

Measures taken

Body text, links and controls meet the minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 against their background.

Interactive elements are reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.

Form fields have labels that assistive technologies can read, validation messages are announced and are associated with the field they describe, and a skip link moves focus to the main content.

Motion is suppressed for readers whose system requests reduced motion, and the homepage cover display has a pause control.

The site menu on small screens is announced as a dialog, closes with the Escape key, and keeps keyboard focus within itself while it is open.

No CAPTCHA is used at any point in the submission process.

Known limitations

The submission process has not yet been tested with screen-reader software. Until that assessment is complete, no claim of full conformance is made for those pages.

Testing to date combines an automated audit engine with manual keyboard and code inspection. Some criteria, among them reading order in assistive technology and the clarity of announcements, can only be settled by testing with disabled users.

Links that sit within a sentence are smaller than the WCAG 2.2 target-size minimum. The standard exempts links in a block of text, and standalone controls have been enlarged.

Feedback

Reports of accessibility barriers are welcome and are treated as faults to be corrected.

Write to info@acceleratedscience.org with the page address and the difficulty encountered. A barrier that prevents submission is treated as a priority.
