Submission Terms
Version 1.0. Effective date: October 8, 2026.
These terms apply to every paper submitted to a journal published under the Accelerated Science name. The corresponding author accepts them for the paper when it is sent. They are read with the Privacy and terms page, the Fees and waivers page, the AI use policy and the Editorial policies, which are referred to below and are not repeated here.
1. The parties
The journals are published by ICON Group International, Inc., PO Box 27740, Las Vegas, NV 89126-7440, United States ("the publisher"). The terms are agreed between the publisher and the person who holds the account from which the paper is sent ("the corresponding author").
2. Acting for the other authors
The corresponding author confirms that every person named as an author has agreed to the submission and to these terms, and that the corresponding author is authorised to accept them on their behalf. Each named coauthor is asked to confirm their authorship after submission.
3. What the author confirms
By sending the paper, the corresponding author confirms that:
- a. the work is the authors' own, and any material taken from others is cited;
- b. the paper is not under consideration at another journal, and the editor will be told at info@acceleratedscience.org if that changes;
- c. permission has been obtained for any third-party material that requires it;
- d. any research involving human participants or animals had the approval and consent the paper describes;
- e. any use of AI is disclosed as the AI use policy requires;
- f. at least one named human author takes responsibility for the whole work;
- g. the files contain no text intended to influence an automated reader.
4. How the paper is assessed
Every paper is screened, classified and assessed by a panel of AI reviewers against the published criteria. An acceptance is reviewed and signed by a named editor before it is issued. Any other outcome is issued from the panel's assessment without prior review by an editor, and the reasons are stated to the author. An author who believes a decision rests on a factual error may write to info@acceleratedscience.org within 30 days, and a person will review it.
5. Permission to assess and to keep the record
The corresponding author grants the publisher permission to store, copy and process the submitted files in order to assess the paper, return a decision and keep the record of the submission. This includes sending the full files, with any names and affiliations they contain, to the AI model providers named on the Privacy and terms page.
6. Copyright and licence
The authors keep copyright. If the paper is accepted, the authors grant the publisher the right to publish it under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0), or under another open licence where a funder requires one. The corresponding author approves the final proof before publication.
7. Fees
The submission fee is US$125, or US$25 where the corresponding author submits from a verified educational address. The fee is charged when the paper is sent. Fees are non-refundable. A waiver must be requested before payment. There is no publication charge. The Fees and waivers page sets out the categories, the waivers and the hardship-country list, and the version in force when the paper is sent applies.
8. The published record
Published scholarly records are ordinarily preserved, including where an article is corrected or retracted. In exceptional circumstances, access may be restricted or material may be removed where required by law or necessary to address serious legal, privacy, rights or safety concerns. A public record of the action will be retained where appropriate.
9. No guaranteed outcome
Submission does not guarantee review, acceptance, publication, indexing, citation, preservation by a third-party service or any particular outcome or timetable.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, United States, as stated on the Privacy and terms page. Data-protection and consumer rights that apply under the law of the place where an author lives are not affected.
11. Changes to these terms
Each version of these terms carries a number and an effective date. The version accepted when a paper is sent applies to that paper. Earlier versions remain available on this page.
