About Accelerated Science Journals

An open-access publisher of reviewed research, with its first journals open for submissions.

Aims and scope

Accelerated Science publishes original research. Assessment covers the domain, method and argument: whether the work contributes to its subject, whether the methods support the claims, and whether the reasoning holds. Journals open by discipline as editorial capacity is established. One sub-core discipline is currently accepting submissions: Marketing, within Accelerated Science: Business and Management. Manuscripts are accepted in LaTeX, Word or PDF. Supporting data, code, appendices and cover letters may accompany the manuscript in their native formats. The use of AI tools in preparing a manuscript has no bearing on its assessment.

How papers are assessed

Assessment criteria are published before submissions open. Automated checks are applied on receipt: cited references are resolved against Crossref, reported statistics are tested for internal consistency, and stated algebraic identities are re-derived. A model-assisted reading of the argument, methods and contribution is then produced and is labelled as machine-generated. A subject reviewer is engaged where a claim requires expert judgement. Acceptances are signed by a named editor who is accountable for the decision. All other outcomes are issued under a stated rule, which is named to the author. Each published article lists the checks performed and the tool that performed each. Manuscripts are assessed on their content alone; the identity and affiliation of authors, and any use of AI tools, are not considered.

An initial decision may be possible within one week of submission. Automated assessment informs the evaluation of domain, method and argument, which enables rapid editorial handling without displacing human review.

Open access and fees

The submission fee is US$125, or US$25 for a verified educational address. The applicable fee is charged when the paper is sent. Waivers are available through the Fees and Waivers section and must be requested before payment; a waiver cannot be applied afterwards, because fees are non-refundable. There is no publication fee. Articles are free to read on publication under a Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 licence, and authors retain copyright. Payment records are held separately from the review system and are not accessible to reviewers or editors.

Editorial standards

Assessment criteria are published before submissions open. Ownership of a journal has no bearing on any editorial decision. Editorial seats are defined by subject area and are listed as vacant until the appointee has confirmed the position in writing.

Indexing and preservation

Each journal will be assigned an ISSN, and articles will be registered with a DOI through Crossref on publication. Articles carry the metadata required by indexing services and reference managers. No listing is claimed that is not currently held.
